We process your personal data solely in accordance with applicable data protection regulations, particularly the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG).
Personal data refers to any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person – for example, name, address, email address, or telephone number.
4. Data Processing When Visiting Our Website
When accessing our website, data is automatically processed that is technically necessary to display the website correctly. This includes:
- IP address (anonymized)
- Date and time of access
- Browser and operating system used
- Pages/files accessed
This data is stored to ensure system security and improve our services, based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest). The data is deleted or anonymized after 30 days.
5. Use of Matomo
For statistical analysis of website usage, we use the privacy-friendly analytics tool Matomo. Analytics are performed entirely without cookies and in anonymized form on our own server.
No personal data is stored. IP addresses are truncated before processing. Data is not shared with third parties. The legal basis is our legitimate interest under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
6. Subscription to Youth Ceremony Email Updates (Mailjet)
On our website, you can register to receive non-binding information about the Youth Ceremony, such as dates, events, and registration details.
We process the following data:
- Full name
- Email address
- Child’s school and class
- Your role in the class (e.g., parent representative)
Processing is based on your consent pursuant to Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. You can revoke your consent at any time, e.g., via the unsubscribe link in any email.
We use Mailjet, a service provided by Sinch AB, Sweden, to send these emails. Processing takes place exclusively within the EU. A data processing agreement exists pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR.
7. Use of the Youth Ceremony Portal
When using our online portal to register for the Youth Ceremony, we process additional personal data, including:
- Name, address, contact information
- Login credentials (e.g., email address, password)
- Details about the participating child (name, school, event location, etc.)
- Booking and event data
- Payment information (if processed through the portal)
Processing is necessary for contract fulfillment according to Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. Without this data, participation in the Youth Ceremony is not possible.
Data is shared only with service providers bound by contract (e.g., payment processors, shipping, print services).
8. Contacting Us
If you contact us (e.g., via email or form), we process your data to respond to your inquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR, depending on the context.
9. Data Retention
We store your personal data only as long as necessary for the stated purposes or as required by law.
Booking-related data is retained for up to 10 years in accordance with tax regulations.

- it is necessary to fulfill a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR)

Our service providers (e.g., Mailjet, hosting, payment services) are contractually bound to comply with the GDPR.
